Family Budget for iPhone/iPod Touch

Summary

When it's time to get serious about budgeting, you may need the whole family to participate. Family Budget enables a family to manage its collective spending by easily tracking and communicating expenses.

Sharing a Budget
Family Budget allows multiple members of a family to participate in a shared monthly budget. One or more family members sets up a monthly budget by adding/removing budget items and setting amounts, and then synchronize with the Family Budget web service.

Synchronize
Other family members can then synchronize their iPhone/iPod Touch with the budget data stored on the web service.

Update
Each member may then enter daily expenses and synchronize their data to the Family Budget web service. Expenses and updates entered by other family members are downloaded and synchronized to your iPhone or iPod Touch. This is especially useful when one or more family members are away from home.

Family Members

• Add any number of family members using your address book contact information
• One or more iPhone/iPod Touches can manage the budget and enter expenses for any family member
• Display of last synchronization date for each family member
• Budget amounts can be set for each budget item (category) and for each family member

Budget

Budgets are tracked on a monthly basis. All budget configuration is synchronized with the Family Budget web service, so other family members can immediately start working with the updated budget. At the end of the month, the budget information is archived on the web service, enabling viewing of historical information using your web browser.
